Great place for breakfast. Open concept kitchen where you can see & smell what's being made right in front of you. Small space but big flavor. The only reason this place didn't receive 5 stars = service. The woman working that day was a bit rude. Though the other times I've gone before writing this review were much more pleasant. Hey, everyone has an off day sometimes, right?

Found this place due to the majority of the town being closed. Lucky us! The food was great! Exactly what a diner should be. Great burger, great breakfast plate, and a phenomenal fried chicken plate. The place is SMALL! Our family of 6 almost filled the counter, and there are 3 small tables behind it. Don't let that deter you though. The food is great and very affordable. My only complaint would be the table of ignorant local old guys dropping f-bombs and making fun of people in front of my kids, but that's not the restaurants fault. Hopefully they aren't regulars.

I had high hopes for this place and was pretty disappointed. First of all it has no charm. There isn't a cute thing in the place. It seemed very clean and the ladies who run it are nice enough but the service was very slow and one of the ladies actually had the audacity to put black, burnt toast on my plate and act as if it was totally normal. This restaurant is currently for sale and I can only assume that played a factor in her decision to pull singed toast out of the toaster and serve it to a customer. I'm not talking dark brown, I'm talking charcoal black! I really don't know what she was thinking. There is a sign on the wall that says "This isn't Burger King, you can't have it your way. You can only have it my way". I guess her way is scorched! Anyway, I think the sign says a lot about the people who run it.

I highly recommend this place for breakfast. This diner is very small so you may have to wait for a table or a stool at the counter. But the wait is worth it. If you sit at the counter you can watch your meal being skillfully prepared. They offer a variety of fantastic home-cooked breakfast items. Be sure to try one of their skillets served over cheesy hash browns. The three women who operate the place act as a highly coordinated team to deliver the best breakfast in Eagle River. If you order the sausage biscuits and gravy, I suggest a half portion because the portions are so large. The guy next to me ordered the corned beef hash and it looked and smelled phenomenal.

They're not kidding about the dinky part - the place is tiny. Service is fast and friendly. The food comes quickly. We were there for breakfast and our table had pancakes, omelets, and standard scrambled eggs with hash browns and toast. Everything was tasty and well made.

No stay in Eagle River is complete without breakfast at Faye's. Love this place. Ultra small, ultra-friendly atmosphere. Don't be surprised if another patron grabs the coffee pot and fills up your cup! This place is full of regulars who are as nice as pie. Eggs, bacon, sausage cooked right and served with a smile. Never been here for lunch but I wouldn't dare miss it for breakfast!
